Since our founding in 1982 we have been "Doing Well by Doing Good®"—creating value for company stakeholders by generating renewable energy while creating significant environmental benefits.
We have led or participated in the development and/or ownership of a dozen clean energy projects. These include seven hydropower facilities, two municipal waste projects, and three waste-coal powered generating facilities.
In 2001 we acquired Microgy, a developer, owner and operator of clean energy facilities which utilize a leading, proven European anaerobic digestion technology. Microgy’s facilities utilize agricultural and food industry waste to economically produce methane gas. Microgy’s facilities provide domestically-sourced, renewable energy, while helping to mitigate the environmental impact of animal and food industry waste disposal.
We look forward to continuing our industry leadership, helping to meet growing energy needs while addressing difficult environmental problems with innovative, cost-effective technologies.
